What is Your Purpose?
Nearly every day I’m asked by someone “How do I find my purpose in life?”
I think why this question is so difficult to answer is that most of us think that our purpose needs to be super impressive, grandeur in status, and too be honest nothing could be farther from the truth.
Now I’m not saying setting impressive goals is a bad thing – impressive goals lead to impressive results. What I am saying is that your purpose needs to be something that makes you happy – NOT – something that makes you famous or rich. OK if that happens great, but it’s really all about you. Doing what you love to do, because that will get you out of bed each day and add real value to your life.
We only get so much time here on earth and if you are satisfying your personal desires you will be fulfilled and a fulfilled person is a loving, caring soul and we could certainly use a few more people like that these days!
Listen you don’t need to find it tomorrow – just by wanting to find your true purpose you have actually set the wheels in motion, and if you remain aware of what’s happening around you – when the student is ready the teacher will appear.
That said, you need to take action – so start Googling – How do I find my passion? There will be hundreds of answers – again when you are ready the right article will appear.
Now before I close off here I want to say one last thing – when I say look to do something that makes YOU happy – but at the same time it will be far more rewarding if at the same time you can help others! So keep that in mind as well.
Oh ya one last thing – don’t do something because someone else thought it was a good idea. Listen – consider – evaluate – but in the end – DO WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU!
