    Ouch. Maybe laughter isn’t always the best medicine after all. The urge to ROFL illustrates the side effect of years of exposure to slapstick and increasingly abrasive humour which is numbing our true human emotions. Not that I mind a good laugh, but the urge to do so in inappropriate circumstances is a disaster waiting to happen, as has been so aptly illustrated. I certainly rue my own humour at the wrong time moments however pale by comparison. Indeed, with humour, timing is everything. Here’s to laugh without the gaffe.
